Top 34 Horse Halloween Costume Ideas!

Happy Spooky Season everyone!!!

Halloween is right around the corner and all of us at The Farm House always love seeing everyone’s amazing costumes. This year we took to Facebook and Instagram and asked our followers to send in their own costumes and boy were we completely blown away by the creativity!

(Submitted by Darlene Ivy)

This is the prettiest sea horse we’ve ever seen! She and her mermaid are making a splash in this head-to-toe themed ensemble. And we are giving all the points to Darlene, the artist, for hand-painting this gorgeous pony.

4 Cruella and her Dalmatian

(Submitted by Kacie Tobias)

This one’s wickedly good! We would totally love to see this idea on an Appaloosa too. This is one of our favorite Disney ideas we’ve spotted this year.

5. The Cowardly Lion, Tin man, and Dorothy

(Submitted by Pamela Almond)

Ok… Come on this is the cutest cowardly lion ever. We love how the group comes together with the horse as the tin man a handler dressed as Dorothy. This outfit is truly magical.

Halloween is the perfect time to get topsy turvy! Check out this precious little horse riding a man. We agree with the blue ribbon award.

Costume contest, or desensitizing… you be the judge.

Are we sure there’s a pony underneath that? Because that looks like a pretty fierce some spider to me! Here’s another take on getting eight legs up.

This is how I think a lot of us feel we look like after we forget our course or chip to the last jump.

Timeless horse costume ideas

…….
Need some inspiration from the classics? Here are our top 5 timeless choices.

1. Skeleton

How cool is this costume, especially on a black horse? If you’ve got an artist’s touch, you have to consider giving this one a whirl!

2. Taco with cheese

We probably get food from our local Mexican restaurant at least every week, so when this cute combo popped up, you bet we were doing a salsa. The dance, not the dip, although chips and salsa does sound pretty good.

3. Expedition Everest

This idea for a hiker climbing Mount Everest is one of the most creative we’ve seen! This is a great outfit if you live somewhere chilly and you could adapt it to climb pretty much any mountain, hill, or volcano that strikes your fancy. Plus, it’s a pretty easy one for your horse!

4. For Sale: Great with Kids!

For all of us who’ve had a feisty pony, we always get a laugh out of the “Great with Kids” horse or pony. Normally featuring a for sale sign and a handler that is sporting a black eye and crutches. It really captures the parts of buying horses that we just have to laugh about.

5. Maleficent

One of the most iconic Disney costumes was made even better by Lisa Clements! Last year, she and her horse Robin went as Maleficent and her dragon to our local Halloween hunter pace. She really went all out!

6. Starbucks and a Frappucino

Can we get this Venti vanilla bean Frappucino to go? This costume goes all out with the theming and we love the use of green.

7. Caution wet paint

If you have a messy horse, this one may strike a cord with you. We love the way this costume uses those paint-covered clothes we never know what to do with.

7 Giraffes

We love this idea for our wild horses! It takes a patient rider and horse to get these spots on, but you can always opt for the onesie and let your horse stay as is.

8. Elsa

Let it go! Your child can unlock their magical powers atop their pony. Even better, Elsa rides a spirit horse in the sequel.

9. Bath day

This may be the only bath your horse wants to take. Plus, the opportunity for the rider to dress as the rubber duck is super cute.

Thank you everyone for submitting photos, I loved seeing each and every one! Didn’t get to submit your own yet? Feel free to tag us on our social pages or send us an email
