Meet Our Team - Claire Rinck

My parents can attest, I’ve been slightly horse crazy my whole life. Apparently one random day, I just came home raving about ponies and never stopped! Finally in 4th grade, after all the pestering, I got to start riding lessons and I was of course hooked.

I grew up eventing and competed up to training level, but the older I get the more I’ve realized the less jumping I want to do. While attending William Woods University, I joined their dressage team and found a love for it. I graduated with a degree in Equine Administration and went on to be the barn manager at a large vet clinic specializing in equine reproduction.

I moved to North Carolina this past year and already love being part of The Farm House Family. I help run the online fulfillment department and am the one tracking down all the inventory for your orders! Being a small business, we don’t have one large warehouse, like Amazon, but rather inventory in our three different stores (that are sometimes spread across the country), so it’s a big fun puzzle each day!

I have two horses at home right now, Logan and Opie. Logan is a six-year-old Thoroughbred and Opie is a rising two-year-old Dutch Warmblood. They are a blast and keep me laughing every day. Logan likes to show off his failed racehorse skills by sprinting across the pasture, and Opie is at that stage where he has to put everything in his mouth. I hope to compete in both dressage and lower level eventing in the future but I really just enjoy the process of starting and working with young horses. Competing is fun, but there is nothing more rewarding than watching your horse progress over the years.

When it comes to my favorite products, I am obsessed with the new Horseware line this year! All their clothes are great for both horsey and non-horsey activities. I think my favorite is the Technical Hooded Fleece Sweatshirt because it is just so comfy. I also have a secret stash of KL Select Italian Bell Boots at all times. If you have chronic shoe throwers, these are the bell boots for you! Super easy to pull on, and they keep Logan’s shoes where they’re supposed to be.

Besides working with my horses, I enjoy spending time with my husband and dogs (Heidi and Brutus) and exploring all over NC. One of our favorite pastimes is going fishing… well my husband fishes, and I hang out on the boat!
