Farm House Tack Annual Staff Gift Picks- 2024

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Time to start Christmas shopping, decorating, and getting our present-opening fingers ready. That means only one thing! It’s time for our annual Staff picks holiday gift guide!

Not sure what to get your favorite equestrian or horse enthusiast? Who better to help than our staff of horse lovers? With so many fun new arrivals at our stores, our staff had a tough time picking, but they did find some pretty amazing items to put on their holiday wish lists!

Lets start with our newly promoted Chief Operations Officer, Ryanne! Ryanne is the glue that holds all our moving pieces together and she’s already smashing it out of the park as her role grows. For her Christmas gift this year, Ryanne wants to keep warm and cozy with Penelope Laponia Zip Sweatshirt. This super soft sweatshirt features a cozy fleece-lined collar and lightly textured chevron fabric. It’s thick for those chilly winter days, but the zip makes it perfect for transitional season. And the Laponia Sweatshirt gets extra points because it’s super cute for maternity wear (congrats, Ryanne!).

Ryanne’s right hand man, Hunter works in purchasing and receiving in our back office. Hunter’s got a great eye for style, so even your picky friend or family member will approve of his choices. Hunter would be delighted to find this elegant set of Equestrian wine glasses from Arthur Court for his holiday table setting. Equestrians love this line of home entertaining goods. The attention to detail is incredible!

Sara, our Landrum Store Manager, LOVES sparkle! Sara was so excited to see the new Miss Shield Shadowmatt Custom Helmet with ultra-fine crystals and 5 stunning Swarovski crystals. As you may have seen on our Facebook page, Sara took a liking to this helmet as soon as it arrived. To quote her, this helmet is “finally as extra as me.” Samshield is not only known for their sparkles but also for being a frontrunner in helmet safety. So, with this great pick from Sara, you don’t have to choose between style and safety this holiday season.

And of course, you know our marketing and e-commerce manager, Michelle. Michelle’s worked in many of our different departments, so she always knows what’s hot at The Farm House! For her Christmas gifts this year, she has her eyes on these gorgeous EGO 7 Contact Tall Boots. These tall boots are a super innovative design! They’re no-closure, easy-fit, and slip-on. It adheres perfectly, supports the leg, and offers ideal contact and breathability.

She’d also love to receive the Deinhardt Designs “Prints With Purpose” Long Sleeve Top in the Shangri-La pattern! These are new for us this year. Not only are they super comfortable baselayers with a lightweight fabric and a great fit, but the patterns are so pretty. We also love the colors on this one! Nothing better than some jewel tones to look stylish year-round.

Finally, Michelle says Lego wants a new saddle pad. Lego’s got some strong opinions on saddle pads. But he loves the Ogilvy Jump Friction Free Pad! They don’t have any exposed stitching, which is a huge plus for Lego. It also offers great breathability.

We also trotted over to talk with Dylan, who manages our Tryon location. Dylan had her eye on a few new picks that all shared something very important in common. “They’re black like my soul,” Dylan says. Dylan loves the high waist, super flattering fit of the Jumping CA breech as well as the super comfortable 4-way stretch fabric that EGO7 is known for. And we couldn’t leave Tryon without saying hi to Donna, one of our fabulous equestrian experts. Donna took a page out of Dylan’s book and picked a few items as well. She’s hoping for some new Kismet show shirts, specifically the adorable white lace Dana Lace Schooling Shirt that she’s wearing. We already love Kismet’s schooling shirts for their super lightweight, breathable fabric and perforation, but we loved them even more when they introduced lace. It’s the perfect extra touch of something sweet, much like Donna herself. Donna plans to pair her show shirt with AP Hassinger’s The Derby Knee Patch Breeches and the Barbour Women’s Fay Gilet.

Felicia is one of our equestrian experts in Landrum. She brings amazing energy to our team and always has a smile for us. Fittingly, she’s selected the Penelope Smile Fanny Pack in this stunning Cognac color. You’ll have to come by our store to pick it up, but Felicia promises it’ll be worth the trip. She’s also chosen this adorable LeMieux Lila Beanie in ginger. It’s the perfect accent for Felicia’s red hair and very vital for winter months as she works out in our sales tent. This outfit is so perfect that we might have to get it for Felicia ourselves before Santa has a chance.

Maddie is another one of our awesome equestrian experts at the Landrum HQ store. She’s got a great eye for trends, so we were excited to see what she chose. Maddie would love to see the Ariat Women’s Taxore Insulated Jacket in her stocking. She loves the sleek, flattering silhouette. Weather protection without any added bulk is a recipe for success in Maddie’s book. Plus, did we mention it uses space technology? That’s definitely a conversation-starter for Maddie at the barn and it will be for you too.

Another one of our equestrian specialists, Jasmine has her eye on some new tack this Christmas. She thought that the KL Select Italia Tuscany Hunter Bridle would be perfect for her horse Charlie, one of her hunters. Julianne is our fashion icon year after year so we couldn’t wait to see her pick. Julianne works hard in customer service, and she knows her way around our items backward and forwards. Julianne loves the soft felt and leather band of this classic hat. It’s the perfect touch to bring your outfit together and to dress up or down.

Chastity works tirelessly in our receiving department but knows how to bring some fun into the workday. That’s why she picked out the adorable Le Mieux Toy Pony, Dakota. You’re never too old to have one of these adorable ponies in your life! Chastity loves Dakota for his spots. She has a Dalmatian, so now her pet and her new pony can match. Plus, LeMieux has designed the absolute cutest accessories to go with your pony. From polo wraps and saddle pads to his very own set of wings, your new pony will be the cutest of them all this season.

Kaytlin over in our shipping department definitely deserves a little treat during the holiday season. She’s been hard at work carefully packing up all of our orders and we’re still impressed with how resourceful she was getting out our hand-labeled packages when we lost internet after Hurricane Helene. To keep her warm and cozy this winter, she’s chosen the new Ariat Berber Snap Front Sweatshirt in Lila Leopard. Kaytlin loves how soft and fuzzy this jacket is and that it’s lightweight. Plus, the cute pattern is super eye-catching and trendy!

One of our new recruits to the shipping department, Taylor learned her way around super quickly. In her first few days, Taylor immediately gravitated to the LeMieux Elements Jacket. And the pine color Taylor selected is truly flattering for every skin tone.

Susan, who works in fulfillment, has a keen eye for fashion. Seriously, just look how cute her whole outfit is! Susan knows our brands inside and out and she’s wishing for the new Ariat Marland jacket under her tree. The beautiful buffalo plaid and camel color are Susan’s favorite parts of this lovely jacket. She also loves the flattering cut which looks great on taller folks like Susan. Plus, it’s super comfy! Susan also took a page out of Julianne’s book and topped off her outfit with the Barbour Tack Fedora in this luxurious Chocolate color.

Victoria also works in fulfillment and customer service making sure our customers get all their gifts this year. She’s always ready to share a chat and a laugh, even on the go. For her busy weeks, she’s chosen the Penelopé Maisons Laffitte Bag, the perfect size for day trips or heading from the barn to work. Allie works behind the scenes in our Marketing and E-Commerce department writing blogs and emails, posting on our Facebook and Instagram pages, and editing our podcast. Allie loves to dress up, so she chose some accessories she’d love to get this year. First, she went straight for the Tucker Tweed Sonoma Shoulder Bag. Red is one of Allie’s signature colors from her hair to her glasses, so she has been dreaming about an eye-catching red bag. And of course, our fearless leader/ store owner Noreen chose this beautiful winter coat from Equiline. Noreen is always warm and caring, looking out for her staff, but she’s also practical and looking ahead to make sure we are making progress into the future.
