This bit provides increased leverage and lifting action similar to a gag bit.  The loose ring pelham allows the mouthpiece to elevate in the horse’s mouth with increased poll pressure.  This beautiful hand crafted rubber mouthpiece is ideal for horses with a sensitive mouth.
