Store Policies

**Please be sure to include a phone number and an email address where we can reach you promptly if there is a problem with your order.
**Make sure we are in your list of email contacts or as an approved sender to avoid having emails sent to a spam folder. 

Due to server & merchant account limitations, this policy cannot be extended to saddles purchased on our website. You must call the store to purchase with a credit card authorization 864-457-3557.

Payment and Trial Period:

When you call the store to order, you may try any of our new or used saddles with a credit card authorization for the price of the saddle, and a charge for shipping costs. After the saddle arrives at your location, you will have four days to decide if you want to keep it. On day four, we’ll need to hear from you with “Yes! I want it.” or a tracking number for its return. If we do not hear from you on the fourth day, your credit card will be charged for the saddle. 

If weather interferes with your ability to try a new or used saddle, please call us during store hours for an extension of your trial period and authorization BEFORE the fourth day. Call Mon-Fri 9am-6pm or Sat 9am-4pm. Telephone: 864-457-3557

If you decide to purchase your trial saddle, your card will be charged immediately. 

Please note: 

Due to server and merchant account limitations, this policy cannot be extended to saddles purchased with a click on our website. Saddles purchased on the website are directly processed for the full amount on through your selected method of payment.  

Saddle Return Policy:

If the saddle is not suitable for you and/or your horse, you may return it at your expense. Use the box and protective wrapping it arrived in, and remember to include any other items that came with it (i.e., cover, leathers, irons, pads, extra gullet plates, etc.) Please DO NOT add shipping peanuts to the box!

 

Please remember, call us with a return tracking number by the fourth day of your trial period to avoid having your card charged. We can arrange for courier pickup if you are unable to get to a shipping center in time. We charge $50 for this service, including the shipping charge. Please call us at 864-457-3557 for details.

Saddles purchased and then returned after the trial policy period incur a 20% restocking fee.

 

Riding and Care of a New Saddle on Trial:

Handle a new saddle carefully, please. Keep it separate from oiled tack to avoid staining. Wrap your leathers – plastic wrap or tube socks with the toe cut off do a good job of protecting the flaps without adding too much bulk under your leg. Keep your ride time reasonable to avoid sweating the seat, and please don’t ride in the rain or other adverse conditions.

 

Riding and Care of a Used Saddle on Trial:

Because they’re pre-loved, used saddles may be tried without wrapping the leathers and for a longer period of time. Take a lesson, take a trail ride. But please do be careful to preserve the condition of the saddle.

 

Negotiating a Used Saddle Price:

Most of our used saddle prices are open for negotiation. We ask you to try the saddle first, to make sure it’s suitable for you and your horse. If you decide you want to keep it, call us with your offer before the end of the trial period and we will contact the consignor for acceptance or a counter-offer.

 

How much is shipping?
Products in our closeout closet have a set fee for shipping. These items are already so deeply discounted we can't offer free shipping. 
If you would like more than one of a product in our closeout closet, call the store and we can combine shipping for you. 

Due to increased shipping and insurance charges used saddles ship for a flat fee of $35.00

Orders over $75.00 receive free standard shipping. Due to increased courier costs, Orders Under 25 ship for 7.00 orders over that ship for 13.95
*Items purchased from our closeout closet are so deeply discounted we cannot extend free shipping to these items.
However you will notice that shipping charges in these categories is VERY reasonable.  Most other categories have free standard shipping for orders made through our website that meet the minimum order threshold Sorry, close outs and sale items are not including in our free shipping program. 

We could cram a beautiful new show jacket or show shirt into a bubble wrap shipping bag. 
But who wants to receive a beautiful new show coat that's a wrinkled mess  after surviving the abuse of the postal system? 
We take great care to ship show jackets and shirts in specially designed boxes so when they arrive, you can walk right into the show ring with confidence. 
~ Another great benefit when having your items shipped to a horse show office, or your hotel room! 


How will you ship my regular shipping package?
We have found that UPS is the most reasonably priced & reliable shipper for our customers in the continental United States. 
To make shipping reasonable to Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico packages are shipped U.S.P.S. and thus delivery dates cannot be guaranteed
We are happy to ship your products to these locations UPS for the current going rate. 

Tracking Numbers will be provided when possible by UPS Quantum ship, or email.


When will I see my package?
Most customers will see their in-stock items in approximately 4 - 8 business days. We ship all in stock orders within 24 hours, most orders placed before noon M-F will
be shipped the same day. However, occasionally items are not in stock due to manufacturers' delay, we will notify you by telephone or email immediately of any delay or back order. 
*WEEKEND DELIVERY CANNOT BE GUARANTEED ON EXPEDITED ORDERS.

*For Custom Items such as tack trunks, custom boots, or customized show apparel: approximately 4-8 weeks from order date. 
*Please note most custom manufacturers have a Christmas cut off for special orders approximately the middle of November.


I need to return or exchange an item bought at a mobile unit  location or on the web, what do I do?
Simply write us a note with all of your contact information explaining the problem, or fill out the form shipped with your package and return the item to us within 10 days of purchase for a refund or exchange. Items must be returned in unused, new condition. Consignment items need to be returned in the same condition in which they left the store in. Please note that items qualifying for free shipping which are returned will have shipping costs deducted from the refund. Refunds will be processed within 14 business days after your return has been received. 
Shipping charges are non refundable.


I purchased ____________ and it broke / fell apart/ did not perform to my expectations, what can I do?
We want you to have a great experience with your purchases from us. If for any reason a product does not perform to your expectations, please contact us immediately. We will happily assist you in contacting the manufacturer and working out an amicable resolution including but not limited to repair or replacement
of the product in question at the manufacturers discretion. Often the manufacturers will want to see the product before deciding the best course of action. 
This is so the company can see what went wrong and improve on their design.  We proudly carry equipment and apparel by manufacturers who are willing to stand behind the integrity of  their products. We will do everything we can to make it right. 


My helmet has a crash replacement policy, and I fell off my horse while wearing it, what do I do now? 
No problem!  Safety First! Just call or email for more instructions. 
Each helmet brand has it's own criteria to be followed to ensure a prompt replacement. 
Call or Email  us at customerservice@farmhousetack.com  with what type of helmet you have and we will assist you in the process.

( Helmet, Boots, Breeches, Tack Trunk,  Tack Room Drapes, etc)  
No Problem! You may purchase a gift certificate for the amount of the item, or call us and we will give you some very creative options that will leave the giver and the receiver smiling!

Why can't I find the show coats and shirts that I saw at the store online? 
We hand pick the fabrics and linings on the majority of our show coats. We even have shad points custom made with fabrics we buy and supply to the manufacturers. Since our items are so original and they change so frequently it is nearly impossible to get keep up with the swatches and combinations.  Call us for the most up to date selection of jackets and shirts. Your coat will be as unique as you are and you won't be disappointed! 

I'm not near a mobile unit, and I'm at a horse show and need something NOW! Can you help!?
Absolutely, we can ship to your hotel, the horse show office, or anywhere UPS can get a truck! 

EXPEDITED SHIPPING POLICY:
Expedited In Stock Orders placed before 4 p.m. will be shipped the same buisiness day. Orders placed after 4pm will not ship until the following business day. Please note expedited items cannot be delivered to a P.O. Box. Please be sure to leave a valid daytime phone number or email

*     No refunds on custom orders.
