Trust Sweet Iron Kimblehook Brass Ring
Trust Sweet Iron Kimblehook Brass Ring
The kimblehook jaw piece is a kind of pelham but has a milder effect and is ridden with one rein. The rider can determine the sharpness of the bit himself. The lower the rein is attached, the greater the leverage, the sharper the bit. This jaw piece offers the rider more control over the horse than a standard jaw piece. The kimblehook is not suitable for inexperienced riders.
The mouthpiece with rings is a variant of the double-broken bit. The rings in the middle stimulate the horse to play with the bit. This increases the tongue activity so that a horse will produce more saliva and the jaws can relax more so that the horse is more likely to release in the mouth.
The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and stimulates the horse's saliva production naturally. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-gray.
