Store Policies
**Please be sure to include a phone number and an email address where we can reach you promptly if there is a problem with your order. **Make sure we are in your list of email contacts or as an approved sender to avoid having emails sent to a spam folder. **If shipping to anywhere outside the continental United States, please call 864-457-3557 or email customerservice@farmhousetack.com for a shipping quote.
What is your saddle trial policy? Our saddle trial policy is 3 days to start when UPS indicates they have delivered the saddle to you. We are happy to issue extensions to your trial period, simply call or email us with your situation and we will work out a trial period extension with you. We understand that trainer schedules and mother nature don't always cooperate, simply request an extension via email or by phone. Please be sure to keep track of all items that come with the saddle ( cover, fittings, gullets etc) as, if for some reason the saddle does not work out all items will need to be returned. We strongly suggest you keep trial saddles in a locked safe location, as we cannot be responsible if a saddle is lost, damaged, or stolen while in your care. If for some reason you should need to return a saddle you have taken on trial, please be sure to include all accessories shipped to you with the saddle and insure it for it's full value. We use UPS for most of our shipping needs.
Riding policy for trying a new saddle: New saddles sent out on trial must be handled carefully, as if they do not work for you- they must be returned to us in NEW condition in order for you to receive a full refund. With that in mind we ask that you take the following precautions when trying a new saddle: In order to keep from making marks on the saddle flaps we ask that you wrap your stirrup leathers with plastic wrap, or cut off the toe a tube sock and run the leathers through the length of the sock so your stirrup leathers do not make direct contact with the saddle flaps. To keep your girth from making marks on the billets we ask that you wrap the billets in plastic wrap before attaching your girth. Keeping your ride time to a minimum will prevent marks from your boots or half chaps on the flaps. We suggest keeping your ride in a new saddle on trial to 5-10 minutes. Usually after a lap or two around the ring, you or your trainer will know if the saddle you are trying will work for you. Once you have tried the saddle, please contact us and let us know how it went.
Riding policy for trying a used saddle: Used saddle trial rides are more liberal as these saddles are already broken in and have taken some depreciation. The trial period rules are the same as for new. 3 days to start, call or email to request extensions. Unless noted otherwise on the reciept, you are welcome to take a full length ride or lesson in these saddles to determine if it will work for you. We ask that you care for these saddles with the utmost respect as they also will need to be returned in the same condition they were shipped to you in. Some of our consignment saddles do have some room for negotiation in the price. However, it is our policy not to negotiate price on a used saddle until you have sat in the saddle and tried it on your horse.
How much is shipping?
*Items purchased from our closeout closet are so deeply discounted we cannot extend free shipping to these items. However you will notice that shipping charges in these categories is VERY reasonable. All other categories have free standard shipping for orders made through our website. Sorry, close outs and sale items are not including in our free shipping program.
Expedited shipping is available for orders in the continental U.S. for a fee. Phone orders can be picked up at the store, a mobile location if available or shipped. Shipping for phone orders is very reasonable, but varies by weight and cost of item.
We could cram a beautiful new show jacket or show shirt into a bubble wrap shipping bag. But who wants to receive a beautiful new show coat that's a wrinkled mess after surviving the abuse of the postal system? We take great care to ship show jackets and shirts in specially designed boxes so when they arrive, you can walk right into the show ring with confidence. ~ Another great benefit when having your items shipped to a horse show office, or your hotel room!
How much does Express Shipping cost? Expedited shipping varies by the weight and cost of the item. We are happy to quote you for 3 day, 2 day and overnight deliveries. Unfortunately free shipping does not apply to internet orders which require expedited shipping. Same day shipping is available for all in stock items for orders placed before 2 p.m. EST. How will you ship my regular shipping package? Unless you specify otherwise, we ship UPS or US Postal Service. Tracking Numbers will be provided by UPS Quantum ship, or email.
When will I see my package? Most customers will see their in-stock items in approximately 4 - 8 business days. We ship all in stock orders within 24 hours, most orders placed before noon M-F will be shipped the same day. However, occasionally items are not in stock due to manufacturers' delay, we will notify you by telephone or email immediately of any delay or back order. PLEASE BE SURE TO PROVIDE A DAYTIME PHONE NUMBER AND ADD OUR DOMAIN TO YOUR LIST OF CONTACTS. 864-457-3557
*For Custom Items such as tack trunks, custom boots, or customized show apparel: approximately 4-8 weeks from order date. *Please note most custom manufacturers have a Christmas cut off for special orders approximately the middle of November.
I need to return or exchange an item bought on location or on the web, what do I do? Simply write us a note with all of your contact information explaining the problem, or fill out the form shipped with your package and return the item to us within 10 days of purchase for a refund or exchange. Items must be returned in unused, new condition. Consignment items need to be returned in the same condition in which they left the store in. Please note that items qualifying for free shipping which are returned will have shipping costs deducted from the refund. Shipping charges are non refundable.
I purchased ____________ and it broke / fell apart/ did not perform to my expectations, what can I do? We want you to have a great experience with your purchases from us. If for any reason a product does not perform to your expectations, please contact us immediately. We will happily assist you in contacting the manufacturer and working out an amicable resolution including but not limited to repair or replacement of the product in question at the manufacturers discretion. Often the manufacturers will want to see the product before deciding the best course of action. This is so the company can see what went wrong and improve on their design. We proudly carry equipment and apparel by manufacturers who are willing to stand behind the integrity of their products. We will do everything we can to make it right.
My helmet has a crash replacement policy, and I fell off my horse while wearing it, what do I do now? No problem! Safety First! Just call or email for more instructions. Each helmet brand has it's own criteria to be followed to ensure a prompt replacement. Call or Email us at sales@farmhousetack.com with what type of helmet you have and we will assist you in the process.

No Problem! You may purchase a gift certificate for the amount of the item, or call us and we will give you some very creative options that will leave the giver and the receiver smiling!
Why can't I find the show coats and shirts that I saw at the store online? We hand pick the fabrics and linings on the majority of our show coats. We even have shad points custom made with fabrics we buy and supply to the manufacturers. Since our items are so original and they change so frequently it is nearly impossible to get keep up with the swatches and combinations. Call us for the most up to date selection of jackets and shirts. Your coat will be as unique as you are and you won't be disappointed!
I'm not near a mobile unit, and I'm at a horse show and need something NOW! Can you help!? Absolutely, we can ship to your hotel, the horse show office, or anywhere UPS can get a truck!
